This research aimed to: (1) examine the current conditions, problems, and needs of new entrepreneurs in the digital economy of Chiang Rai Province; (2) analyze the factors and synthesize the components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem under the concept of sustainable organizational development (ESG); (3) examine the direct effects of entrepreneurial orientation (EO), digital transformation and innovation capability (DTIC), access to finance (AF), and ecosystem collaboration (EC) on ESG, as well as the direct effect of ESG on business sustainability performance (BSP) and the mediating effect of ESG; (4) develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem model based on ESG; and (5) propose policy guidelines appropriate for Chiang Rai Province. An explanatory mixed-methods research design was employed. Data were collected from 400 new entrepreneurs, 30 key informants, and 25 focus group participants. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, content analysis, and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that ESG had the highest mean score (𝑥̅= 4.30, S.D. = 0.71), whereas AF had the lowest mean score (𝑥̅= 3.67, S.D. = 1.06). The entrepreneurs faced limitations in access to finance, digital and innovation skills, technology, standards, and support systems. The PLS-SEM analysis indicated that EO (β = 0.315, t = 5.049, p < 0.001) and EC (β = 0.374, t = 6.426, p < 0.001) had positive effects on ESG, whereas DTIC and AF had no statistically significant effects. ESG had a positiveeffect on BSP (β = 0.571, t = 14.004, p < 0.001) and mediated the relationships between EO and BSP (β = 0.180, t = 5.005, p < 0.001) and between EC and BSP (β = 0.214, t = 5.351, p < 0.001). Integrating the research findings resulted in a model comprising seven components organized into five mechanisms, together with seven policy guidelines to develop a connected, continuous, and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chiang Rai Province.
